FULL DAY TOUR

Full day trips typically entail 10 hours of photography, beginning with sunrise and ending with sunset along with a break in the middle of the day.

The exact itinerary will be based upon where you are staying. Full day tours work best when you are staying close to one of the Park entrances (West Glacier, East Glacier, or St Mary). Contact us for availability and more details.

MULTI-DAY TOUR

Multi-day trips are typically based out of St Mary Village. This location gives us many great options for exploring Glacier National Park. We will design an itinerary focused on sunrise and sunset each day.

We recommend a two day itinerary if you prefer to stay by roadside locations. For those that would like to explore additional photo locations along Glacier’s many trails, we recommend a three or four day itinerary.

Glacier Photo Guides will be offering photo tours in Glacier National Park from June 1 - October 15, 2025.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Our full day rate starts at $1,050 for up to two people. Exact pricing will depend on which parts of the Park are visited.

Pricing is the same for one or two people. Please inquire about pricing for larger groups.

A full day session typically entails ten hours of photo guiding in Glacier National Park with a professional photographer and experienced instructor.

Please note that the park entrance fee is not included in our pricing. You are responsible for your entrance fee to the park. More details can be found on Glacier National Park's website here.

  • We do not offer refunds once a trip is booked. Trip insurance is highly recommended to cover unexpected circumstances.

If you are unable to make it to your scheduled session, the booking can be switched to a future available date or you may transfer your booking to another person or a gift certificate that is valid for one year.

Please note that any changes made within one week of the session will be subject to a $75 change fee.

Weather in the mountains is always unpredictable, but sessions will run, rain or shine. In fact, some of the best photos are often made in “bad” weather. Please come prepared for every possible condition. Montana is known for experiencing all four seasons in a single day.

  • You are welcome to bring a picnic meal to eat along the way. There are also grab-and-go sandwich options within the Park if you prefer to pick something up during the tour. Your guide will have a cooler which you are welcome to use to keep items chilled.

We do provide cold drinks and light snacks during the tour. We have built in extra time to take a break and there are picnic tables and areas to rest along the way.

  • The exact meeting location depends upon our itinerary for the day. West side tours typically meet at Apgar Village. East side trips typically meet in St Mary Village. You will receive an email detailing the exact time and meeting location once your booking is confirmed.

  • Yes, during the tour you are welcome to ride with the guide from the meeting point. We typically use a minivan for transportation, so there is plenty of room for passengers and gear.

If you need transportation to/from the Park, please send us an inquiry to inquire about pricing and availability.

  • Full day tours typically involve several hours of driving broken up over the course of the day as we stop to photograph.

Glacier is a very big Park and the different areas are considerably spread out. We build additional time into our tours to account for driving time so that it doesn't cut into time spent photographing.

  • We follow all CDC guidance and National Park Service rules regarding Covid-19. Masks are optional. We will have hand sanitizer available for use.

Please do not attend your tour if you or anyone in your party is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, cold, or flu. Give us a call to discuss options.
